Effective Communication An Essential Component Of...

Strong leadership is an essential component of organization’s success. They have the vision, the knowledge and they move the organization forward. Effective communication is one of the main skills required to do the leader’s work. The Ken Blanchard Companies conducted a series of studies from 2003 to 2006 in which 43% of respondents named communication skills as the most critical skill set. In the same study 41% of respondents stated that inappropriate use of communication is the most common mistake done by leaders (Critical leadership, 2006). No doubt the way leaders communicate with employees, team members, coworkers, investors, customers, managers is essential in achieving company goals. Successful leaders have to be able to adapt their communication style depending on who they interact with. Talking to employees might require directive style, giving orders for example, but when speaking to a customer a friendlier, kinder communication style might be more appropriate.(Effective communication, n/a). Leaders have to know who they are communicating with and what the goals of such interaction are. Also successful leaders should be able to switch between styles fast. Leaders have to be good listeners. When in a conversation with someone, they have to pay attention not only to verbal, but to non-verbal communication too. The Coffee Shop, Avenue Coffee, Near The University Of...

After a lot of consideration and thought, I decided to study the coffee shop, Avenue Coffee, near the University of Memphis. The location was actually recommended by a fellow ethnographer in my class and I thought I would follow up with the gracious suggestion. Avenue Coffee was unfamiliar to me, and is also in a part of Memphis that I have rarely gone to. This shop was a great way to see a new part of town, but also to see what kind of local businesses have risen in Memphis. The ethnographer told me that the cafà © had a deeply rooted mission for the community of Memphis and is definitely a place in one must visit. Legalize It: The Necessity For Marijuana Law Reform When I think about social issues that should be discussed more often than they are, I think about the topic of legalization of marijuana. As a person that has consumed marijuana both in legal settings, and illegal settings, I can say that the title â€Å"illegal drug† should not apply to cannabis. The reason that I believe this is because I do not feel that marijuana is a threat to my personal safety, nor is it a threat to the safety of people that are around me if I was to be smoking it in their vicinity. I am not a violent person, and do not consider myself to be a criminal based on what plants I have smoked. The use of marijuana as an intoxicant was first documented in India around the time of 1000 B.C. and w as used mostly as a part of Hindu culture (Snyder, 125). Reasons for why the plant was used are unclear from the texts that are left behind. I would guess that it was first introduced because of the somewhat euphoric state that cannabis can induce. The marijuana was consumed in three different forms in ancient India (27). The first was called bhang, which was made from hemp and was consumed in a drink form. This was mostly consumed by the lower classes and was ingested to relieve one from the stresses of a long days work (Grinspoon, 173). The first of the other two forms was called ganja and was taken from the tops, or bud, of the plants and smoked. The last and most potent form of the marijuana was called charas and is similar to hash. The plant quickly spread from India to other areas of Asia. In China marijuana was called the â€Å"Liberator of Sin† (Fort, 15). The major subjects were sales representatives of the agent, staffs of the marketing department and customers. In which, 30 sales representatives were chosen on the following criteria: having good achievement in the agent and receiving good feedback from customers. 70 selected customers were those who had demand of buying car and those who were the agent’s close customers or potential customers. The instrument employed in this study was interviews and survey (questionnaire). A set of 20 questions closely linked to the study was given to each subject. The interview with some random questions was based on subject’s characteristics (e. . job, department, product evaluation, income, etc). This survey took one week to get the feedback for evaluating and judgment. The questionnaire was also performed in online version under the help of Google Docs (https://docs. google. com/) and shared on social network Google+â„ ¢. All collected data was digitalized and statistics were ma de using Microsoft ® Excel and IBM ® SPSS ® Statistics software. MATERIAL Observations were made at customers shopping at the Toyota Company in order to learn the consumers’ attentions on products and their final decisions. The opinions of customers were collected by questionnaire and interview. In the questionnaire, there are two main parts that are personal information section and research information section separated. The personal information part was designed to collect some private information of participants, particularly age, gender, and job. Financial Accounting Point Regarding Financial Crisis

Question: Describe about the Financial Accounting for Point Regarding Financial Crisis. Answer: Ethical Dilemma The ethical dilemma analyzed in the case study is that company has faced some volatility because of some current financial crisis and in the first meeting the agenda do not contain any point regarding that financial crisis (Ferrell Fraedrich,2015). Being a member of the Audit Committee, it is his responsibility; there should be proper disclosure of risk of a factor in the financial statement of the company. Being a member of the audit committee of the company, he also analyzed that in the future company can also have some promising debts. In addition to it, it also does not have scheduled quarterly compliance audit on the portfolio loan, which is very much necessary for the lenders as a performance reporting. Then further moving on to the case study, the matter has been reported and been asked for the explanation to the chairman of the audit committee for not including the issue in the report (Zadek et al., 2013). But the chairman of the committee says that the matters have been already discussed with the CEO, and he has advised for not raising the matter of the financial crises in the meeting which is to be held and not to disclose the matter to any other, specially to the lenders of the committee. Further to that CEO has also said that the company will not be signing the compliance of the loan audit. It is so, as the audit is at the request of debt provider and not the committee. Still, after getting explanations, the person from the audit committee is concerned that the providers of the debt will be assuming the lo an compliance are being taken into considerations by the audit committee. Then the statement is prepared according to that because it is known that the leaders of the company are dependent on the favorability of the audit compliance (Doherty Purtilo,2015). Major ethical dilemma involved in the Case study is, not the inclusion of the loan compliance by the audit committee. Audit committee is the one, on whom every is relying for the correct disclosure of the facts and figure of the company. The Audit people is very much responsible for the proper disclosure of the financial statement so they should properly analyze all the aspects and facts of the financial reporting and present the report true to the fact. Disclosure of the financial statement should be done truly because it is the only method for an investor for analyzing a company for investing. The inclusion of the debt portfolio and loan in the company will be depicting limitation in company's position, which may tell the lenders and the investor to the withdrawal of the investment from the company. The company having a large number of debts and loans depicts that company cannot give much return to the investors of the company shortly (Kuntz et al., 2013). The CEO is advising not t o show the loan and debt portfolio by the auditing committee so that the investor can remain in the business for the longer period. But the ethical point should also be considered in disclosing the statements. Due to the ethical dilemma in the organization, many other issues may arise. The ethical dilemma will also create many conflicting problems in the mind of the members of the company. The ethical dilemma creates conflicts in the mind of the people working in the organization. Ethical dilemma ignores the fact of the morality. Ethical points dilemma creates a point of value and morality in the organization.
